You’ve got questions,
we’ve got answers
- Up to what size aircraft can you paint/refurbish in your facility?
We can paint/refurbish aircraft up to A321 sized aircraft. We can also do larger aircraft, though this would be carried out at another suitable facility, subject to your requirements.
- How long does it take on average for a full strip and repaint?
A full strip and re-paint can take anywhere from 5 days to 3 weeks depending on the size of the aircraft and your requirements. If you would like your aircraft to be painted due to a strict timeline, we are more than happy to tailor a plan to accommodate your needs.
- Can you view my aircraft before I make any commitment?
Yes, it is our responsibility to walk around your aircraft, analyse and discuss this with you. If you were to proceed in having your aircraft refurbished with us, it is a requirement that you feel 100% satisfied with your decision before confirming a date.
- What products do you use?
We have access to all products (Sherwin Williams, PPG, Mankiewiecz, Akzo Nobel), so depending on your requirements we can source what you/or your maintenance provider recommends (or what is specified in your AMM/SRM). We are happy to advise what we have seen is the best value, offers great anti-corrosive benefits and great appearance but ultimately the decision belongs to you when deciding on how to paint your aircraft.
- Is your facility dedicated to the painting of aircraft?
Yes, our facility has been designed specifically for the painting of aircraft. With a team of engineers, architects and designers we have come up with a low overhead, high quality facility, making painting your aircraft more affordable for you and the aviation industry as a whole.
- Do you repair/refurbish the interiors of aircraft?
We can arrange to have the interior of your aircraft refurbished for a set price whilst your aircraft is being refurbished with us.
- How long have you been painting aircraft?
We have been refurbishing/painting aircraft since 1979. The first aircraft we ever painted was a Cessna 172 in Tocumwal NSW.
- If I fly my aircraft to your facility, how do I get home?
Depending on your requirements, we can tailor a package with you that is inclusive of all your staff/pilots travel. Alternatively, you can arrange this and we will be more than happy to assist with reserving hotels, hiring cars, or we can personally drive you where you need to go.
- Do you offer a warranty with your work?
Yes we do provide a full 12 month warranty on all newly refurbished aircraft.
- How can I pay?
We accept payment via eft transfer, credit card and also cheque.
- What is corrosion?
Corrosion is the gradual destruction of the metal. Aircraft with high al-clad are less prone to corrosion, though are still susceptible to it. The implications of corrosion in your aircraft are very serious and require attention at first sight to prevent any further damage caused by corrosion. Here is an example of corrosion taken from the CASA website :
- What treatments are available for corrosion?
There are a number of products available. Alodine treatment, PreKote, Boegel, Wash primer systems etc. Depending on your aircraft, we can discuss with you what would be most suitable for applying to your aircraft.
- What are your openning hours?
Our opening hours are generally from 8am to 5pm, though you can call us on 1300 788 027 anytime and leave a message and we will get back to you within 24 hours.
- Can you paint my aircraft at my facility?
Yes, we can arrange to work off-site to carry out work on the exterior of your aircraft. There are minimum requirements we have such as air, some form of ventilation etc. We are happy to work with you and come up with a tailored solution to your needs.
